Personal Care Attendant
Help people live their lives for your career. Personal Care Attendant (PCAs) help the elderly, convalescents, or persons with disabilities with daily living activities at home or in a care facility. Your primary goal will be to make the residents you work with feel as comfortable as possible.
Typical duties performed at a place of residence may include:
- Keeping house
- Preparing meals
- Assisting with hygienic tasks.
- Advise non-credited care facilities regarding nutrition, cleanliness, and household activities.
Job outlook for Personal Care Attendants
According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, Personal Care Attendant is the second fastest growing occupation in Massachusetts. PCAs are often employed by individual and family services, home health care services, vocational and rehab services and employment services.
