A comprehensive site on the political carrer of Ronald regan . Many of his speeches are highlighted at this site. It also has information as his time as governor and his presidential primary. Each of the major events are highlighted and easily accessible. A good outline of his career.

2. Reagan—Morning in America ad

This 1984 campaign ad is known as one of the simplest and most effective political ads ever, showcasing Ronald Reagan’s ability to fuse entertainment and politics. The ad portrays typical morning activities as the voice-over lists all of the positive accomplishments of the Reagan administration. It also serves a reminder of how the national feeling had changed since the “malaise’ of the late 1970s.

3. Video “Tear this Wall down.” Ronald Reagan 1987

Video of Ronald Reagan’s famous speech near the end of the Cold War from West Berlin, urging Mikhail Gorbechev to tear down the Berlin Wall and end the Cold War, this speech is another example of President Reagan’s successful speaking style. The Berlin Wall and its tearing down two years later were a prominent symbol of the Cold War. Students can use this speech to debate the effectiveness of Reagan’s policy and their impact on ending the Cold War.
