The Greater Fall River Art Association’s
2007 Annual Regional Exhibition
May 31 – June 29, 2007
The gallery closes its season with the Greater Fall
River Art Association’s Annual Regional Exhibition.
The Association was incorporated in 1956 and moved
to its permanent location in 1967. In the late 1960’s
the Association initiated a very successful National
Exhibition that continued until the early 1980’s
when the exhibition was scaled back to become what
is known today as the Annual Regional Exhibition.
The exhibition includes works in all media, including
painting, sculpture, jewelry, watercolor, works on
paper, pastel, drawing, photography, collage and mixed
media. While the look of the exhibition changes from
year to year it has remained a consistent reflection
of the nearby art scene. The Gallery expects about
95 works of art to be installed in the exhibition and
a number of prizes will be announced at the opening
reception. This year’s judge is Cora Lee Gibbs,
Director Emeritus, Newport Art Museum, Newport, Rhode
Island and former Curator of Education at the RISD
Museum. |
