Bristol Community College's annual student art exhibition features works by students enrolled in the Art and Design Programs. This year's juror is Glenn LaVertu. LaVertu is an adjunct professor at Parson's the New School for Design, where he teaches courses in Drawing, Illustration and Animation, for the School of Design Strategies and Art, Media and Technology departments. He has been an instructor at Brown University, the Rhode Island School of Design, and Bristol Community College, teaching subjects from sculpture and drawing, to art history. His work has been exhibited throughout the United States, and recently in Europe.

Begun in 2005, the juried format provides students the opportunity to engage in the professional practice of preparing works for entry into an exhibition. Students are encouraged to submit for consideration up to four works made between April 2012 and April 2013. Each year around 200 works are submitted and the jurors have the exciting challenge to bring that number down to about 75 pieces. The resulting exhibition reflects the strength, breadth, and diversity of the program.

The exhibition will run through May 10.
