How are portfolios assessed?
Participating faculty members developed two rubrics (or scoring criteria), one for English 090: Basic Writing Skills and one for English 101: Composition I: College Writing. These rubrics represent a culmination of the following documents:
These documents, as well as, common markers for passing and failing portfolios were discussed in arriving at these desired outcomes and evaluative descriptors.
These rubrics are used to help faculty discuss and make determinations about portfolios scores
