Commonwealth Transfer Compact
The Commonwealth Transfer Compact is an articulation agreement between the four-year state colleges and universities and the community colleges in Massachusetts. The Compact guarantees that a student graduating with an associate of art or an associate of science degree will have 60 college level credits (including "D" grades, transferred, providing the student meets all admission requirements and is accepted.
The credits will be applied towards a bachelor's degree, if the following courses are included in the associate degree:

Please note: Students who are enrolled in transfer programs do not necessarily meet the terms of the Transfer Compact. Students should check below to see how to meet the Compact in their program.
Added Benefit: Students completing the requirements of the Commonwealth Transfer Compact will have their general education requirements waived at the following institutions; UMass Amherst, UMass Lowell, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and Westfield State College.

Programs that could meet the Compact
Transfer Students can meet the requirements of the Transfer Compact in the following programs by taking the appropriate courses.
- Business Administration Transfer
Students can meet the Compact if they take one behavioral or social science elective as part of their program. - General Studies
Students can meet the Compact if they choose Western Civilization or U.S. History as their history elective sequence and if they take one additional Humanities elective, two additional Behavioral and Social Science Electives and two lab science electives. - Information Systems Transfer
Students can meet the Compact if they choose two behavioral or social science electives.
Transfer programs that do not meet the Compact
Students cannot meet the requirements of the Transfer Compact in the following transfer programs:
- Computer Science Transfer
- Art Transfer
- Engineering Science Transfer
- Engineering Technology Transfer
- Liberal Arts and Sciences
- Environmental Science Option
- Theatre Option
