Most computer and telecommunications services at BCC are provided by Information Technology Services. This staff of programmers, PC support technicians, and other skilled staff members oversee management information systems including the Internet and Intranet, provide staff with technical assistance in hardware and software use, maintain, install, and upgrade computer systems, and maintain and coordinate telephone services.
Help desk
Faculty and staff members who need technical assistance with the computer in your office should call x.3333. You will receive help over the phone; if necessary, the help desk will dispatch a staff person to you as soon as possible. Each request is logged and tracked to ensure that problems are solved in a timely way.
Forms
The following forms for faculty & staff are available in Outlook's Public Folders:
- Computer Access Request Form
Supervisors may fillout an Access Request Form to set up a Banner account for new employees. Email accounts are automatically set up now, as part of Campus Pipeline. Copies of the Access Request Form can be printed from the BCC Forms directory under Outlook's Public Folders.
- Telephone Request Form
Supervisors may request telephone and voicemail service for new employees by filling out this form. Copies are in the back of the College telephone directory as well as in Outlook.
