Bristol Community College Athletics: Ernie Bettencourt

Ernie Bettencourt takes over as head coach after 10 years of coaching both recreational and competitive teams for New Bedford Youth Soccer. Ernie graduated from New Bedford High School where he played high school soccer. He is a 1994 graduate of UMass Dartmouth and a current graduate student at UMass Dartmouth. He holds both state and national level coaching licenses. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Vipers FC of Greater New Bedford and has coached the Vipers FC Girls Premier team to the 2010 MASC sectional championship.

“Ernie is a highly-motivated coach who exhibits enthusiasm, passion for the sport, and a commitment towards delivering the highest quality of athletic experience to our BCC student athletes,” said Bev Cambra, BCC athletic director.
