Bristol Community College Portuguese Club holding donation events for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings
The Bristol Community College Portuguese Club will be holding several donation events in Fall River and New Bedford this week in an effort to raise money for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.
Starting on Saturday, April 20, and concluding on Thursday, April 25, the Portuguese Club will be setting up collections at local landmarks, with all proceeds being donated to “The One Fund,” which has been created to directly support the victims of this tragedy.
Donations will be collected at the following locations:
Saturday, April 20 – Café Europa (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) (61 Columbia St. Fall River, MA)
Sunday, April 21 – Churrascaria Novo Mundo (All Day) (98 County St. New Bedford, MA)
Monday, April 22 – Goulart Square Bakery (All Day) (413 Rivet St. New Bedford, MA)
Tuesday, April 23 - Churrascaria Novo Mundo (All Day) (98 County St. New Bedford, MA)
Note: Churrascaria Novo Mundo will also be donating 10% of all sales on 4/23 to “The One Fund.”
Thursday, April 25 – Bristol Community College Fall River Campus (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) (G-Building)
If you own a company and cannot make any of the scheduled events but would still like to help, please call Brian Martins at 774.417.1295. Checks will be accepted payable to the BCC Portuguese Club. The final donation total will be announced on Friday, May 3.
