Celebrity chef to offer workshop
Bristol Community College’s Culinary Arts program will offer a two-day workshop on using gum paste in cake decorating from a world-renowned chef Chef Nicholas Lodge will teach the class on Friday, March 22 and Sunday March 24, in conjunction with the annual BCC SkillsUSA Cake Show.
He will teach an assortment of popular flower ideas for wedding and celebration cakes including the ultimate rose, cymbidium orchid, dendrobium orchid, hydrangea, gerbera daisy and the stargazer lily, all with appropriate buds and leaves.
Everything needed to attend the class will be provided and items will be available for sale during the class. The class will include a certificate, full instructional handouts and photographs. The all-inclusive class costs $425, but save $50 and register by March 1, 2013, for $375.
