Imaginations take flight at Bristol Community College's Kids College
Your kids won’t even be aware that they’re sharpening their skills as they create and participate in fun, engaging projects at BCC’s Kid’s College Saturday Lego Engineering institute, and Music Vacation Series.
Bring your kids to College on Saturdays for learning disguised as play! The Pre-Engineering class for grades 1&2 takes on real-life engineering challenges that explore concepts in physics and architecture, with more than 100,000 LEGO® Pieces. The Engineering Fundamentals class for grades 3&4 features projects designed to challenge LEGO® novices to experts. The curriculum challenges students to reach the next level of engineering comprehension, all while having fun. Classes start Saturday, February 25, for two hours.
School vacation is coming -- give your kids a music experience during February school vacation. There is something for all ages. The Sunshine Singers class for grades 3&4 will have young divas raise their voices and develop a love of music as they have the chance to sing together and solo. The Beginning Guitar class for grades 5&6 helps kids become his or her own real Guitar Hero. The class is for students who possess a genuine interest in learning the guitar and enjoy music. The Let’s Sing class for grades 7&8, is intended for students who enjoy singing and would like the opportunity to learn proper singing techniques and fun solo songs. The Music Vacation Series courses run from February 21-24, 2012.
