BCC Culinary Arts Celebrates the Holidays with their Annual Extravaganza
A sure sign of the holidays is the gearing up for the annual Holiday Extravaganza staged by the Bristol Community College Culinary Arts Program. It is Friday, December 11, 2009, starting at 7 p.m. in the Commonwealth College Center, Fall River Campus.
The event features a lavish cocktail reception starting at 7 p.m., with an open wine and beer bar and assorted hot and cold items, including stuffed mushrooms, calzones, grilled vegetables, salads, risotto, salads, and more. The buffet includes boneless prime rib of beef, boneless short ribs, pasta in five cheeses, boneless pork loin with mango-pineapple compote, cod loins Provencal, and other delectable treats. It is followed by a Viennese pastry dessert bar.
Music will be provided by Malloi, who play contemporary music with great local renown. They return by popular demand from last year’s extravaganza. Malloi, a six- piece band of Berklee College of Music-educated musicians and vocalists, has been together for 20 years and features vocalist Kelley Lennon. They have delighted and entertained at numerous venues in the area including 1149 Restaurant, Waterfire, the Regatta at Goat Island and many more.
