Bristol Community College

Literacy Services

College degree and certificate programs are only some of the ways BCC offers educational services to the community. For some of the specialized educational needs in southeastern Massachusetts, the College's Community Services office provides a wide range of learning opportunities, such as noncredit course offerings for those interested in acquiring new work-related skills or upgrading their current skills, a wide range of leisure, recreational and enrichment programs and courses and our Kids College.

As a community college, BCC is committed to community services as a vital part of its mission. The College reaches out to serve all the diverse groups in the community by offering specialized educational and training programs for dislocated workers, transition assistance recipients, linguistic minorities, and young people enrolled in area elementary, junior and senior high schools. (Specific eligibility criteria may apply for short-term training programs).

Community Services brings state, local, and private monies and resources together to help solve community problems and enrich the lives of area residents.
