Employer Recruitment Services
The BCC Career Center takes pride in forming active partnerships with business and industry by matching workforce needs with the skills and abilities of our students. To achieve this goal, we offer employers a variety of options to meet our students and recruit talent from a wide range of programs and disciplines. For example, employers may list jobs, participate in job fairs and/or develop customized, flexible recruitment plans. The following provides a summary of our services. For more information, please call (508) 678-2811, ext. 2594.

JOB LISTING SERVICES
Employers may post full-time, part-time, temporary, summer, and seasonal job opportunities for BCC students and alumni, free of charge. These opportunities are kept in a student-accessible database and shared with the appropriate department(s). To post a job with us, simply download and complete our Job Listing Form and email it the Career Center. For assistance, or for more information, please contact Jeff Craig or call 508.678.2811, ext. 2594.
Please be advised that we do not conduct background checks on students, nor do we establish the credentials and overall fit between the employer and the student applicant. Employers and individuals offering employment/entrepreneurial opportunities with compensation packages requiring commission only or requiring prospective employees to purchase a franchise, products or services upfront, or where compensation is based exclusively on commission or fees/percentage of sales from others under their sponsorship in the organization, will not be offered recruiting privileges. We reserve the right to refuse to post jobs that do not support the "interests" of the College.
Non-Discrimination/Equal Employment Opportunity Policy
Recruitment services are restricted to organizations that affirm that each candidate will be considered solely on the basis of qualifications, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, citizenship (as defined under the Immigration Reform and Control Act), disability, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law.
We offer three job fairs per academic year, one of which targets the health technologies sector. In addition, the College holds a Human Services Opportunity Fair each spring, which is coordinated by the Human Services program. These events offer employers a great way to meet a large number of potential candidates, including entry-level and seasoned professionals who are seeking part-time, full-time, summer, seasonal employment, and internship opportunities.
Our job fairs are open to current BCC students and alumni.
For more information, or to obtain a schedule of upcoming fairs, please call us at (508) 678-2811, ext. 2594. Due to limited space, we must consider and select organizations that represent a cross-section of industries, as well as those that our current students indicate a preference for through surveys and feedback from previous events.
In addition to our job fairs, employers may set up display tables in the Commonwealth College Center Lobby. This option is particularly useful for employers with multiple job opportunities. In order to provide a fulfilling experience for students from all programs, reservations are prioritized so as to encourage representation from a variety of industries. Visits are announced via campus-wide marketing efforts so we require a minimum of three weeks notice. For more information, please contact the Job Placement Office at 508.678.2811, ext. 2594.
EMPLOYER IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM
Our Employer in Residence Program (ERP) offers employers a fully customizable recruitment program that can provide unique opportunities for human resource professionals to introduce their company to the College community and meet some of our best and brightest students.
The ERP can meet other objectives. Human resource professionals, for example, can pique students' interest in a particular industry, potentially shaping their career paths. They can also impact students' employability by recommending specific skills or courses.
Past employers have offered resume critiques, mock interview sessions, facility tours, and job shadow days. Others have offered information sessions on topics such as "Dressing for Success" and industry trends. Employers determine the level of commitment and -- in consultation with Career Center staff -- design a program that is feasible and effective.
For more information on the ERP, please contact Patricia Condon, Coordinator of Career Planning, at (508) 678-2811, ext. 2228
