Q. How much does it cost to enroll in the Transition Program?
A. Because the College receives a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Education to fund this Program, the classes and texts are offered at no cost to qualified applicants.

Q. What are the requirements to apply to the Program?
A. Any Massachusetts resident who has graduated from a GED or Adult Diploma program is eligible to apply. Candidates must also be ready and able to commit to attending classes and completing assigned coursework.

Q. When do classes meet?
A. Classes are held in the evening, generally two nights per week. The courses follow the College calendar: fall semester runs from September through mid-December and the spring semester spans mid-January through May. Meetings and workshops are scheduled during class breaks

Q. What are "linked" or "learning community" courses?
A. In a learning community, or in linked courses, the same group of students attends a set of classes together and the instructors collaborate with one another to make connections between their courses. Often they will use a theme to relate work in one course to the other class or classes.

Q. Will I receive credits for the courses I complete in the Transition Program?
A. Yes, you will receive credits that become part of your GPA (grade point average) and your SPI (satisfactory progress index).Whether or not you can apply the credits towards a degree, or certificate, will depend on the course of study you choose upon completion of the Transition Program.
