Computer-Aided Instruction

The computer lab plays a unique and valuable role in the education of the adult student. Computers are available to students to enrich their educational experience and to provide extensive resources to enhance classroom learning.

Students with little or no experience in computers begin with the basics of computers and go through learning some Microsoft Word and the Internet. They then apply what they have learned to their actual classroom learning in the form of writing and research projects.

Others use the computer to supplement their studies by gaining ample practice and reinforcement in the competencies necessary to succeed on the GED Test. Several other programs provide lessons and tests in the five subject areas of Writing Skills, Social Studies, Science, Literature and the Arts, and Mathematics.

In addition, students will have the opportunity to use the Official GED Practice Software that emulates the actual GED Series of Tests. After completion of this program, students will be able to approach the GED Test with confidence.
