Human Services Certificate Program

This innovative educational program is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of direct support workers, facilitate proficiency in national practice guidelines, adoption of professional code of ethics, and build professional awareness and knowledge necessary for job advancement and quality practice. It is the result of collaboration between the Department of Developmental Services (formerly DMR) and the Massachusetts Community Colleges.

This program is open to Direct Support Professionals employed by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) funded private or state programs. Participants will earn 21 college credits transferable to the Human Services Associates Degree at BCC. Individuals will learn, practice, and improve the competencies and skills that are necessary in direct support work.
