Biographical Directory of the Untied States Congress

contains short biographical sketches of congressional representatives who served anytime from 1774 through the present.  The search feature allows users to identify congressional representatives by several criteria including name, state, and party.

National Issues

aims to present a non-partisan, unbiased look at education, taxes, gun control, defense, social security, and foreign policy.  It also includes links to major historical documents, the three branches of government, and other useful political websites.

Office of the Clerk

provides current and historical information on the legislative branch.  The information includes roll call votes, congressional biographies, educational material on how laws are made, election results, links to the declaration of Independence and more.

Polling Report

provides opinion poll results on a variety of topics.  There is a search feature in the left-hand column that allows users to search by topic.

Public Papers of the Presidents of the United States

The Public Papers of the Presidents is published by the Office of the Federal Register (OFR) and is the official publication of United States Presidents' public writings, addresses, and remarks.

The American Presidency Project

The American Presidency Project was established in 1999 as a collaboration between John Woolley and Gerhard Peters at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Their archives contain 75,861 documents related to the study of the Presidency.

Thomas Legislative Information

on the Internet provides access to Federal legislative information.  This includes copies of bills and laws, the Congressional Record, in-depth background information on the legislative process, and more.

is the official website of the President.  The site contains the President’s official positions, current news, transcripts of major speeches, executive orders, proclamations, and more.
