National Endowment for the Humanities(NEH) provides grants to individuals and institutions for projects in the humanities. Their website offers descriptions of NEH grant programs along with application forms, deadlines, and guidelines; descriptions of NEH funded films, videos, radio programs, and television programs; recent issues of Humanities, and selected other NEH publications; and other information about the NEH. National Science FoundationNSF funds research and education in science and engineering through grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements to more than 2,000 colleges, universities, and other research and/or education institutions in all parts of the United States. It makes approximately 9,000 new awards each year, typically going to universities, colleges, academic consortia, nonprofit institutions, and small businesses. The Foundation CenterThe Center collects, organizes, analyzes, and disseminates information on foundations, corporate giving, and related subjects. This site is useful for grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policymakers, the media, and the general public. Although access to the Foundation Directory online requires a fee, their direct links to the web sites for hundreds of private, corporate and other foundations and charities (under Finding Funders) is most useful and is free. |
