Group Study Rooms

The Library in the Eileen T. Farley Learning Resources Center has two group study rooms which are available to students, faculty, and staff affiliated with Bristol Community College for group study and library research projects.

The group study rooms are usually available to groups of two or more in the library for use on a first-come, first-served basis.  When not in use by groups, these rooms are available as study space.

It is also possible to reserve the rooms, and reservations are taken up to 2 weeks in advance.  No individual may have more than 3 pending bookings at one time within the two week period.  Reservations must be made at least one day in advance.  Generally, same day reservation requests cannot be honored, but may be possible depending on room availability.

Group study rooms are not to be used for functions such as committee meetings, lectures or seminars.

They can be booked for a class that is doing a library research project, but they are not to be used in place of the classroom assigned by the Registrar.

While study rooms are designed for collaborative work, there is still a need to maintain a suitably quiet study environment for other Library patrons.
